I enjoy the strategic and operational side of business and my current focus is on building the brand and growing our network across the recruitment sectors of finance and technology.
As a founding director of Marshall McAdam, I'm focussed on supporting clients to build their businesses, candidates to build their careers and our own people to achieve their professional and personal goals. With the benefit of working with some of the best recruitment companies in Australia over 20 years, I’ve consciously moved between front-line delivery, account management and operational management roles to extend my knowledge and build long-term relationships.
I've been with Marshall McAdam since the business started, and I really believe in our motto ‘a better way’. As the business has evolved, so has my role. I now work as the Operations Manager for the company, where I oversee the commercial and general operations of the business, focussing on training, induction and building systems and process improvements.
My plan wasn’t always to work in recruitment, I originally wanted to be a clothing buyer. After following that dream, I discovered that the industry was different from what I expected, so I took a temporary role in recruitment. Once I discovered how fast-paced and exciting IT recruitment was, I was hooked!
I joined Marshall McAdam in 2013 and began the immensely exciting journey of building the Sydney team based on the shared values of collaboration and respect. It is fantastic to work with a team of people whose passion for what they do is so apparent. As someone with significant recruitment experience, I know that is both highly desirable and hard to find.
My eight years of experience in media and advertising, industry sectors which are going through a great deal of technological and digital change, led to my current role at Marshall McAdam. I network with decision-makers from dynamic industries, daily, to make sure I find the right fit for each role.
With wide-ranging experience recruiting across the projects and technology arena, I am well networked in Melbourne’s technology landscape. My focus is on finding the best possible fit for both my clients and candidates and I specialise in finding the best Business Analysts in the Melbourne market.
After moving from the Netherlands to Australia in early 2019, I began working in Marshall McAdam’s Sydney office recruiting senior finance contractors. Starting a new desk at the company has been an exciting new challenge - new country, new colleagues, new life!
My role as Finance Manager is to worry about the finances and let the rest of the team run the business. I implemented and now maintain the company’s accounting system, and I developed a way to streamline the payroll, timesheet and invoicing system to integrate with our CRM.
Originally from Oxford, I decided to make the big move to Australia in January 2018. Now working at Marshall McAdam, I specialise in Software Development, building talent pools of high performing developers. My core focus is React Developers, and I have been progressively building both my client and candidate network in this area.
I began my career in recruitment 15 years ago, filling entry-level positions for two large global recruitment agencies in the UK. In 2012, my partner and I decided to shake things up and move from Manchester to Melbourne. I was fortunate enough to join Marshall McAdam in 2014 and now I help senior finance professionals secure their dream job.
My career began in Sydney in 2000 where I recruited across the financial sector for market leading brands Michael Page & Robert Walters. I then moved to London where I spent 10 years developing my career across audit, risk and compliance within the specialist boutique search market.
I have successfully recruited for a diverse range of companies in Australia and abroad, from local organisations to global giants, each requiring a customised approach that is responsive to their business needs and culture. What stays constant is my commitment to providing respectful and ethical services that connect with the best talent the market has to offer.
